Tena Koe Peter
On 30th June 2008 the computed plan survey milestone for the Maori Freehold Land Project was completed

On behalf of the Ministry of Justice I would like to thank you for all your hard work put into preparing these plans by your team.

Much of this work was challenging because of its historical nature and we certainly appreciate your efforts in investigating and resolving these issues.

Peter Smidt

Sadly Peter passed away on 20-9-2012. Although Peter battled illness for a number of years he bravely continued his work with Peter Smidt Surveyors and Surveying The Bay until close to the time of his passing.Boundry Peg

Peter achieved what many of us strive to and many monuments to his work are scattered throughout Hawkes Bay (and elsewhere) in the form of boundary pegs, survey control marks, survey plans and completed subdivision and development projects.

Peter's contribution to the surveying profession both locally and nationally will be missed, as will his sense of humour, integrity and passion for his work.
